Universities of Wisconsin provide digital peer support in systemwide collaboration with Togetherall

112,000 students can now access an online mental health resource 24/7/365 in partnership with Mantra Health

We are pleased to announce that students at 12 Universities of Wisconsin now have access to a clinically moderated mental health support resource. Through a newly established collaboration with Togetherall, students can engage with a global community of peers, giving and getting peer support in a safe and anonymous online environment, available 24/7/365.

John Achter, Ph.D., Senior Director of Student Success and Wellbeing Office of Enrollment & Student Success, Kristen Jasperson, Advisor for Student Success Initiatives Office of Enrollment & Student Success, and their team brought on an additional service that addressed clinical capacity, crisis support, wellness content, and resource navigation in partnership with Mantra Health. By allocating remaining HEERF funding previously provided by Governor Tony Evers through the American Recovery Plan Act, they were able to adopt Togetherall’s population-level, digital peer support community with the goal of reaching students who may not be seeking traditional services.

Togetherall’s Chief Clinical Officer, Ben Locke, Ph.D., speaks to the importance of population approach services for large campuses in saying,

“Implementing a comprehensive mental health strategy for a large system like the Universities of Wisconsin, means adopting a ‘both-and’ mindset and embracing the idea that mental-health concerns are universal. Both- and refers to the importance of providing your entire population with immediate, 24/7, mobile access to mental health supports (i.e., Togetherall), which can work hand-in-hand with traditional one-to-one treatment services.”

Integrating Togetherall into the Universities’ existing services, including Mantra Health, a leading provider of comprehensive mental health and wellness solutions; You at College, a personalized wellbeing platform; and the UW Mental Health Support line, provides students across the state of Wisconsin with a comprehensive and robust set of resources to meet the spectrum of their needs.

We’re thrilled to be able to support a system of students and complement the existing services at each of their universities, throughout this school year and beyond.
