VITAL WorkLife and Togetherall join forces to expand access to care through safe, anonymous, community support

May 06 2025
VITAL WorkLife, the leading expert in mental health and well-being for healthcare organizations, has partnered with Togetherall, a leading online peer-to-peer support community, to expand access to care for all VITAL WorkLife members. This collaboration integrates Togetherall’s clinically moderated peer-to-peer support community into VITAL WorkLife’s suite of well-being solutions, ensuring that its members have access to a safe and anonymous support community tailored to their unique needs.
A Partnership to Strengthen Well-Being Through Connection
Healthcare professionals experience some of the highest rates of burnout and stress. Studies show overall 49.9% of healthcare workers meet the criteria for burnout with nurses at 56% and physicians reporting at 47.3% (Rotenstein et. al., 2023). Despite these challenges, many healthcare professionals avoid seeking traditional mental health care due to stigma and accessibility barriers, leaving critical gaps in support.
Recognizing this need, VITAL WorkLife sought to expand access to engaging and innovative mental health care that aligns with its long-standing commitment to healthcare professional well-being. Togetherall’s safe, anonymous, and clinically moderated peer support community complements VITAL WorkLife’s mission by providing healthcare professionals with a space to share experiences, build resilience, and reduce isolation.
Expanding Access Through Collaboration
VITAL WorkLife has a long history of supporting clinicians, nurses, and other clinical and non-clinical healthcare professionals with best-in-class peer coaching, witnessing firsthand the transformative impact of peer connections on well-being. This new partnership builds upon that commitment by introducing an additional layer of peer-driven support, bridging the gap between self-guided services and 1:1 support like counseling and peer coaching.
While counseling and coaching are core components of VITAL WorkLife’s well-being programs, they may not always be the preferred option for every individual. Many seek alternative forms of support that foster connection and shared experiences. Togetherall addresses this need by providing a safe, inclusive, and 24/7 accessible peer-to-peer community, ensuring members find the kind of support they want and need, when and how they need it.
“VITAL WorkLife is committed to continuously innovating how we support our members. Togetherall’s peer-driven platform aligns with our mission to provide meaningful, accessible resources for healthcare professionals that meets people where they are on their path to well-being,” said Derek Bell, Vice President, Solutions and Clinical Operations, VITAL WorkLife. “This partnership allows us to expand access to care for our members who prefer anonymity to support their mental health and a place to explore their well-being needs.”
“Peer-to-peer community and the power of shared lived-experience are no longer a ‘nice-to-have’, they are essential in a comprehensive mental health support system, helping to address the growing sense of loneliness,” said Matthew McEvoy, CEO of Togetherall. “At Togetherall, we provide a clinically moderated space where individuals can connect, share, and support one another in a way that feels safe and accessible. By integrating with VITAL WorkLife’s programs and clinical solutions, we ensure that its members are not only heard but also connected to the right level of care when they need it. This partnership represents a scalable, cost-effective way to provide meaningful, clinically appropriate support.”
“We are thrilled to collaborate with Togetherall, a leader in digital mental health,” said Mitch Best, CEO of VITAL WorkLife. “This innovative partnership allows us to offer an anonymous and proactive resource that enhances our existing services for healthcare professionals—empowering them to more confidently navigate life and work, fostering resilience and well-being before challenges escalate.”
