West Dunbartonshire Council renews its partnership with Togetherall to support youth and adult residents across the region
June 10 2026
We are thrilled to announce that West Dunbartonshire Council has renewed its partnership with Togetherall, building on a relationship that began in 2020 through the Council’s Educational Psychological Services. In 2024, access was extended to all residents aged 16 and over through Working 4 U, the Council’s employability and learning service. This renewal cements the region’s continued commitment and reflects what the data has consistently shown: that anonymous, clinically moderated digital support is reaching people who would not otherwise ask for help.
Reaching those most in need
The impact data from West Dunbartonshire reflects a population carrying a significant level of need, and a platform that is consistently meeting people where traditional services can have limitations:
Before joining Togetherall:
- 68% were not seeking formal mental health support
- 74% rated their own mental health as poor or very poor
- 52% had experienced thoughts of ending their life or self-harm
Since joining Togetherall:
- 61% received 1:1 private support from a Togetherall clinician
- 66% accessed support outside of traditional service hours
- 80% found Togetherall helpful or very helpful for their mental health
Additionally, seven crisis escalations have taken place on the platform, including direct referrals to police, ambulance, social services, GPs, and mental health crisis teams.
Togetherall delivers clear value to the residents of West Dunbartonshire by providing timely and clinically governed intervention to those in need of mental health support, many of whom are not engaging in formal services. Through integrating with service providers, Togetherall safely bridges gaps where local provision can be limited. Around-the-clock oversight by live, licensed clinicians ensures a safe, trusted space for West Dunbartonshire’s youth and adults to get mental health support.
June Johnston, Principal Teacher, Collaborative Support Service at West Dunbartonshire Council, said:
“Through this partnership, individuals across West Dunbartonshire will continue to have free, confidential, and anonymous access to Togetherall’s online mental health platform, available 24 hours a day, 365 days a year. This renewed collaboration ensures that young people can access a safe, professionally moderated digital space for counselling support whenever they need it. It reflects West Dunbartonshire Council’s ongoing priority to tackle mental health challenges and promote positive wellbeing across our communities, ensuring that help is always accessible, inclusive, and responsive to the needs of our residents.”
Maxine Robb, Working4U Team Leader, shares:
“Togetherall gives our residents a safe, anonymous space to look after their mental wellbeing at any time of day and the fact that the platform is clinically moderated means they can do so with confidence. For residents using Council services who may be feeling isolated, waiting for support, or just needing someone to listen, Togetherall offers a sense of connection and reassurance that they’re not alone. Our staff work closely with individuals and their families every day, but they’re not mental‑health specialists. Togetherall gives us a safe, clinically moderated resource we can signpost people to when they need support beyond what our team can provide. It means residents can access help and build coping skills helping them access their learning, employability and financial inclusion support with Working4U. Togetherall strengthens the offer of support to residents.”
Togetherall is proud to continue serving West Dunbartonshire’s residents, youth and adults, and further the Council’s efforts in improving their community’s access to mental health support. In a landscape where digital mental health tools vary enormously in quality and oversight, the level of clinical accountability matters – and Togetherall can ensure this confidently.
