Accessibility

Accessibility Statement for Togetherall website, as of 03/01/2024.

Our commitment to accessibility

Togetherall is committed to ensuring digital accessibility for people with disabilities. Our aim is to combine compelling user experiences with high levels of accessibility and inclusivity, so everyone can use our digital services, whatever their abilities or disabilities. This is informed by our social charter, to make sure all can access our services in a non-discriminatory way, so we can impact all our members lives, and provide benefits to those who commission us to provide this support. Our ongoing site development and content creation is guided by best-practice accessibility guidelines such as WCAG and ISO 30071-1.

Adapt your experience to your needs

While this site and our online services have been created to be usable ‘as is’, many people are likely to get the most accessible experience by customising their computer to suit their individual needs – for example: to get the site spoken to them, to change its colour-scheme, or increase the size of its text.

If that sounds like it would be useful to you, we recommend you visit: BBC My Web, My Way or WAI’s Better Web Browsing: Tips for Customizing your Computer to read or watch videos of how these customisations (achieved by using accessibility features already on your computer, smartphone or tablet, or through installing assistive technologies) might suit you.

Limitations of this site’s accessibility

We have had expert accessibility testing done of our site, using the types of assistive technologies used by our users, to find any accessibility limitations in it. We have fixed most of the issues found, and we are working to fix these few remaining issues, with the aim to gain full WCAG 2.1 AA compliance:

  • We are working to improve the alternative text of some images in our services
  • We are reviewing content structure and interactive components in some parts of the site, so they are compatible with keyboard and assistive technologies
  • We are reviewing the colours used in some parts of site to ensure all text can be read by people with vision difficulties
  • We are working to improve forms on the site to ensure they provide the best experience possible to users using keyboard and assistive technologies
