Togetherall announces Matthew McEvoy as new CEO

Matty takes on the CEO role having successfully led Togetherall’s North American growth over the last four years.

Togetherall, a clinically moderated peer-to-peer platform designed to improve mental health, announces Matthew (Matty) McEvoy as its new Chief Executive Officer. Matty, who has been a member of the senior leadership team for the past four years, his latest position as President of North America, brings 18 years of experience in the mental health services space to the role.

Prior to joining Togetherall, Matty built the student support programme at Morneau Shepell’s leading EAP firm (now Telus health), growing it from nothing to a multi-million dollar business.

Since joining Togetherall four years ago, Matty has taken the North American market from one client to more than 250 clients across the higher education, health and employer sectors. As CEO, he will continue to build on this initial success and further capitalise on the sizeable market opportunity available in North America, and the rest of the world.

Matty says “I am delighted to have been appointed to lead Togetherall. It is a business that uniquely meets a need for clinically managed peer support as part of a broader mental health ecosystem to help alleviate pressure on more traditional treatment-based services, empowering individuals to support each other through their shared lived experiences. I am excited for our team to bring Togetherall’s safe peer-to-peer community to more people in need.”

As part of a planned succession following this increased focus on North America, incumbent UK based CEO, Henry Jones, will be stepping down but will continue to retain a strong connection with Togetherall. In five years, Henry has led significant organisational transformation and growth, including a platform re-build, a rebrand and receiving investment from FPE.

Henry says “I feel extremely privileged to have been CEO of a company that is doing so much good for people who need a place to turn to for support. We have helped over 400,000 people in the time that I have been at Togetherall – something I’m very proud of”.

The Board thanks Henry for his passionate leadership that focused on Togetherall’s purpose and mission, as well as the changes he made to the business’ strategy and structure which leave Togetherall well-positioned for success. The Board looks forward to Matty taking the step up to the CEO role and leading the business with a truly global vision through its next phase.
